Sometimes waste is impossible to avoid so it’s good to recycle or reuse it if you can. And to help customers who buy their products, Samsung has come up with a great idea. Some of their TVs will now come in eco-packaging with dots on each side to make it easier to cute it up and turn the box into something new. Each one will come with a guide, which can be accessed by scanning a QR code on the box.
Options include small end tables, magazine racks and even an incredible cat house.
Sure your cat might be more interested in sitting in a plain old box but it’s worth a try. The shelves include space for the remote control so you never lose it down the back of the sofa again.
The packaging, which is also made from eco-friendly corrugated cardboard, will be applied to The Serif and The Sero TVs. Samsung has already won the CES 2020 Innovation Awards for its eco-packaging concept for promoting the efficient use of resources.
They’re also running a competition for companies to come up with more ideas. The two most unique and practical designs will be added to the eco-packaging manual.
